WORK EXPERIENCE

I have only ever had two real jobs. My first one was at Fox Hollow Bar & Grill in Barre Mills and my second one at Kwik Trip Distribution Center in La Crosse. However, when I was younger I would often go to work at my uncle's farm during the summer. My friends have influenced in both places that I have worked. While at Fox Hollow I worked with about six people who were from my highschool which made for a fun and inviting work environment. At Kwik Trip, there are many college students who work there and who I have become friends with. Some of them even go to Western.

I had just turned fourteen and applied to be a dishwasher at Fox Hollow. I spent about a year and a half in that position. My second summer there I was moved to be a part of the golf course management. For this position I would mainly take care of the grass and trees on the course. For the last year at that job I was promoted to be a line cook at the bar. This was my favorite position at Fox Hollow but I eventually quit in the spring of 2022. I came to the conclusion that working as a cook would most likely not be suitable to accomodate the life I wanted to live.

I started working at the Kwik Trip Distribution Center on June 6, 2022. One reason I chose to apply at Kwik Trip was because I needed a higher paying job while going to college. However, I also liked how much room there was for me to advance to other departments at Kwik Trip after I get my college degree. As of right now I just work there as a material handler. The work is quite repetative, but worth it in the end.
